Picture from Pakistan

Our Imdad funraiser raised money to support GlobalMedic, which is the operational arm of the David McAntony Gibson Foundation (DMGF), a registered Canadian charity (CHARITY REGISTRATION # 882588619RR0001) that runs capacity building programs in post conflict nations and provides disaster relief services to large scale catastrophes around the world.

At the time of our fundraiser, GlobalMedic had a Rapid Response Team of 6 emergency volunteers in Pakistan. They were operating 9 water purification units, distributing 3 million Aquatab tablets (1 tablet purifies 1 litre of water), and 100,000 Oral Rehydration Salt solutions in the Districts of Nowshera and Mardan. An inflatable field hospital and over $250,000 worth of essential medicine was sent to the team as of August 16th.

The main focus of Global Medic's hospital was to provide primary medical care to those in need and prevent waterborne illness before they reach catastrophic levels. 100% of all donations went directly to the mission in Pakistan.

Here’s a picture of one of the water purification units that was purchased!
